Privacy Policy for Lose Fat with Yoga

1. Introduction and Controller

Lose Fat with Yoga ("the App") is provided by Vranjes Technologies, operated by Milovan Vranjes, Emilie-Mauerer-Str. 7, 81248 Munich, Germany ("we", "us"). We are the controller responsible for your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, who processes it, and your rights.

You can use the breathing exercises, history, and reminders without an account. If you create one, we store only what is needed to provide your account. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.

2. Data We Collect

Data Stored Only on Your Device

Without an account, everything stays on your device and is never sent to us:

  • Your exercise session history and statistics (streaks, totals)
  • App settings such as language, sound, vibration, session length, and reminder time
  • The profile photo you choose — it is kept on your device and is not uploaded

Account Data (only if you register)

  • First name, last name, and email address
  • Phone number, if you choose to provide it
  • Your password, stored only as a secure hash — we can never see it

Optional Profile and Fitness Details

If you add them in Edit Profile, we store your birth date, current, starting, and target weight, height, a personal goal, and a weekly session goal. Because these details relate to your body and health, we process them only because you choose to enter them (your explicit consent), and you can clear or change them at any time.

Exercise Sessions (signed-in users)

When you are signed in, each session you complete is also saved to your account: date and time, session length, time practiced, completed breathing cycles, number of breaths, and whether the session was completed.

Technical Data

When the App talks to our server, your IP address and basic request information are processed to deliver the response and to protect the service against abuse (for example, limiting repeated login or password-reset attempts).

What We Do Not Collect

Lose Fat with Yoga does not:

  • use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
  • sell or share your personal data with data brokers
  • access your location, contacts, or camera
  • collect payment information (the App is free)

3. How We Use Your Data and Legal Bases

  • Providing your account — creating and signing in to your account, saving your sessions, showing your progress (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of the contract).
  • Profile and fitness details — only with your explicit consent, which you give by entering them and can withdraw by deleting them (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
  • Account emails — a welcome email when you register, password-reset codes you request, and a confirmation when you request account deletion (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not send marketing emails.
  • Security — protecting accounts and the service against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest).

4. Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device only. They are not sent through our server or any push-notification service. You can turn reminders off at any time in the App settings or your device settings.

5. Service Providers and Where Data Is Stored

We use the following providers, bound by data-processing agreements, solely to operate the App:

  • Hostfactory (Switzerland) — hosting of our server and database. Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
  • Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL — Amazon SES (Frankfurt, Germany) — delivery of account emails (welcome, password-reset codes, deletion confirmation).
  • Apple and Google — distribute the App through their stores under their own privacy policies.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Repeated failed sign-in or password-reset attempts temporarily lock the account. Changing or resetting your password, or requesting account deletion, signs you out on all devices.

7. Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Data stored only on your device stays there until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.

Deleting your account in the App

Go to Profile → Delete Account and confirm with your password. You are signed out on all devices immediately and receive a confirmation email. Your account, profile, and exercise sessions are then permanently deleted after a 7-day grace period. If you change your mind, simply sign in again within those 7 days and the deletion is cancelled.

Requesting deletion without the App

You can also request deletion through our account deletion page or by emailing milovan@vranjes.me. We will verify the request and delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate data (most of it directly in the App)
  • delete your data and account
  • restrict or object to processing
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA)

9. Health Disclaimer

Lose Fat with Yoga is a guided breathing and wellness tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and results vary from person to person. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you are pregnant or have a heart, lung, or blood-pressure condition.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. The latest version is always available at this URL, with the date of the last update shown at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will inform you in the App.
